How this platform sources and verifies its data
We believe data transparency is a prerequisite for trust with senior professionals. This page explains exactly where every data point comes from, how confident we are in it, and what our limitations are.
WHAT CONFIDENCE SCORES MEAN
High Confidence
Multiple sources, cross-referenced and confirmed. Data point has ≥2 independent sources and has been reviewed.
Example: Accenture FY2025 revenue from annual report + press coverage
Medium Confidence
Two sources, partially verified. Data is plausible and sourced but not independently cross-referenced.
Example: Fund raise at first close — one press announcement, one AIFMD filing
Low Confidence
Single source or unverified. Treat with caution. Data may be accurate but cannot be confirmed.
Example: Mandate win from single press mention without corroboration

Salary & Compensation
All salary data is self-reported or estimated. Figures represent market ranges, not verified individual compensation. Private firm data is particularly unreliable — McKinsey, BCG and Bain do not publish compensation data. All figures labelled with source and sample size.
Mandate Intelligence
Many consulting mandates are never publicly disclosed. Mandate data is limited to what appears in public procurement notices, press coverage and company announcements. The platform does not claim comprehensive mandate coverage — only what can be verified from public sources.
Financial Health Signals
Revenue and margin data for private firms (McKinsey, BCG, Bain) is estimated from industry sources. These estimates carry significant uncertainty. The platform labels private firm financials as estimates with sources cited. Public firm data is sourced from audited annual reports.
People Moves & OTW Signals
People move data depends on public announcements, LinkedIn updates and press coverage. Many moves are never announced publicly. Open-to-work signals depend on individuals making their status public on LinkedIn. Coverage is partial by nature.
SAi Consulting Index
The index methodology is documented at /index/methodology. The index is calculated from live platform data. When data is insufficient, the index is not published rather than fabricated. All component weights and calculation methods are disclosed.
Fund Raise Tracker
Fund data depends on AIFMD filings, Companies House registrations, SEC Form D, and press coverage. Many fund raises are not publicly announced until final close. Progress percentages are based on press reporting only — many funds do not disclose progress.

Every data point on the platform has a flag option. If you see incorrect information, use the flag icon to report it. Items with 3 or more flags are automatically hidden pending review. We aim to review flagged items within 48 hours.
